Captain Planet Can Help Save Our World

As if the oil spill in the Gulf of Mexico isn't enough, news just broke that another oil spill occurred (this time Alaska) today. From all of the pollution going on, one begins to wonder where Captain Planet is.

I thought the messages I received from the often times cheesy cartoon show were effective and educational. It promotes team work and emphasizes on environmentalism. The powers that be should either re-release the show or reboot it as it remains a positive/entertaining program for kids, especially ones that are growing up in an increasingly obscure environment.

I wish they did a "Real World" reality series with people from all over the world who go on great adventures to better the environment. How neat would that be? You wouldn't have to feel guilty for watching a reality show or wasting time as you would be learning and word of mouth would get out of how to better yourself, others as a team, and the environment.

** Also, sorry I haven't posted in a bit, I'm in the process of moving.... More updates to come within a week.

  1. Dude..."The Toxic Avenger" remake is basically a Captain Planet ripoff. And there are more than a couple "green" reality shows. Planet Green is a channel dedicated to that...from Discovery.
